Europe’s 1st Fly-In for electric powered aircraft

12 juni 2017

Algemeen

The future is electric: Not only on the ground, in the air as well. Electric driven planes are already reality. To support the electrical mobility in aviation and to emphasize their relevance, the regional airport Grenchen (LSZG) is going to execute the first Fly-In for electric powered aircraft (9+10 September).

There will be a static and air display for a variety of different electric- or hybrid powered aircraft.

The regional airport of Grenchen is located in the middle of Switzerland and very easy to reach. Beside to fly-in, there is a highway junction in the vicinity as well and  public transport is available every half an hour.

The Hamilton aEro Twister is a very light and efficient aircraft certified to fly aerobatics between +6 and -4 G. The fiberglass airframe is stiffened and strengthened by carbon elements. The engine provides up to 100 KW power and a 45 minute-flight autonomy, including 15 minutes of aerobatics. And most important, the Hamilton aEro is already in the air!

Lange Aviation
When it comes to electrified  gliders, Lange Aviation is one of the most experienced manufacturer in the world. They will be in the air with an Antares and hopefully with the fuel cell powered experimental aircraft.
